Our Mission
MakerSpace supports the academic mission of Abington College by creating access to knowledge, connectivity, and a STEAM*-powered space where our community can learn by doing. Through a blend of digital and analog processes, a do-it-yourself ethos, and design thinking methodology, MakerSpace deconstructs art, technology, entrepreneurship, and scholarship, reframing activities bounded by traditional disciplinary alignments. Through this process, MakerSpace inspires the social virtues articulated in our vision.
