Disinfecting Drones in the NFL

Christopher Tully

The NFL has been back for a few weeks now but worry over the spread of COVID-19 persists. Some stadiums in the NFL have actually opened their doors to allow fans back into the world of football. One team, the Atlanta Falcons, has come up with an added measure to make sure their fans don’t contract the virus.

They will be using a drone that will fly around the stadium and disinfect the seats for the attendees. D1 disinfecting drones provided by Lucid Drone Technolgies will disinfect seats. The drones have nozzles attached that will allow for easier cleaning of stadium seats. The hope is that things like this can help to prevent outbreaks in stadiums and allow fans the chance to watch their teams again.

The capacity at the stadium will also be lowered and controlled, and over 600 hand sanitizing stations will be available to the fans in attendance. With all of the measures taken to allow fans a safe and worry-free experience, would you go to a game?
