Halloween is right around the corner, which translates to that time of the year when people get to be at their most grotesque nature. Many will be turning to movies and shows this Halloween season to get some spooky vibes since they can’t go out onto the streets.
If there is one thing that Halloween lacks in America, it is diversity in regards to representation in pop culture. Thankfully, these past few years, there has been an introduction of diverse spooky films entering the main stream, showing that there truly is an audience out there for these diverse productions; Get Out, Us, and Antebellum are just a few films to name.
While movies are great, books have also stood their ground in achieving some Halloween spooky vibes. Unlike films, diverse spooky books have been out there for years now. However, they are often over shadowed by the mainstream books by authors such as Edgar Allen Poe and Stephen King.
