Attention all Penn State Abington students!
Do you like anime? Do you like manga? Do you like video games?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then the Abington Anime & Gaming Society is the right place for you. Whether you’re new to anime or an otaku, or like video games or card games, you might enjoy this club.
The Abington Anime & Gaming Society meets every Friday from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, but it usually lasts for longer depending on the mood. These meetings are held online, so all you need is to connect to Zoom and you’re all set. You don’t need to come to campus to attend meetings.

Our club takes part in many activities, such as the following:
- Watch anime
- Attend anime conventions
- Video game tournaments
- Karaoke
- Cosplay Contests
- Anime/video game Jeopardy
- Yu-gi-oh and other Trading Card games
- Make AMV’s (anime music videos)
- And more
One of the biggest events we have is our annual Setsucon trip. Setsucon is a two-day anime convention held annually at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, PA. It’s run under the Penn State Anime Organization since 2007, but it provides a safe and inclusive social environment to anime and manga fans of all ages across Central Pennsylvania and beyond.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, some of these events may be altered to fit with our Zoom meeting structure. It is reasonable, given how all classes will be held online after November 20th and for safety precautions. However, Setsucon will still be held from April 9th, 2021 to April 11th, 2021, and will adhere to all Penn State University, local, county, state, and CDC COVID-19 protocols at the time of the convention. We will make updates if necessary.
