Chaos ensued at Beaver Stadium as the Nittany Lions dominated Ball State University on Saturday, September 11th. As the first home game of the season, it was truly electric to see an excitement and passion for Penn State that hasn’t been seen in almost two years as restrictions due to COVID-19 kept the fans at home.
Whether you were at Beaver Stadium or at home watching the first three games, it has been made clear the Nittany Lions are putting their everything into reminding both fans and opponents just who they are and who they play for.
The win on September 11th marked Beaver Stadium’s 300th win making Penn State one of nine teams with 300 wins in their home stadium.
Looking back at the first game of the season on September 4th against Wisconsin, we see similar strategies ensuring offensive and defensive plays are intact and leading the Lions to victory, which has been effective in both games so far, leading the Lions to win against the Badgers 16-10. Though the game took place in Madison, WI, the spirit of fans was with the players as they achieved this victory miles away from home.
Following this win, these strategies proved to be winning tactics as they decimated Ball State, winning 44-13. The Lion’s offense performance proved to be a huge factor in this, compiling 493 yards in this game alone.
This past Saturday, September 18th, Penn State continued their streak by annihilating Auburn University, 28-20.
The Nittany Lion’s next game is against Villanova University on September 25th at 12pm.
