After the success of last year’s event, the Latine Student Organization and Dance Fit at Penn State Abington will be hosting their Carnaval celebration on Wednesday, February 7.
Carnaval is the biggest holiday celebrated in Brazil, consisting of a week long celebration that unifies the whole nation. Every year, people from all over the country organize and participate in festivals, dress up in costumes, and participate in traditional dances like Samba, Frevo, and Axé. Thousands of tourists from all over the world go to Brazil just to be able to experience such an event; this year, LSO and Dance Fit are bringing that celebration to you.
The event will be held in Sutherland 9 from 12:15-1:30 pm and will count with authentic Brazilian cuisine, live music, traditional Samba performances, and many more. All Abington students and faculty are welcome to attend, no prior registration is required.
