Summer break is coming up soon and there will be a lot more time to relax and enjoy good TV shows and movies. There are many movies coming out this summer that are perfect to watch over break!

Relaxing at home and watching a good movie or going out to the movie theater with friends are perfect ways to watch new films. After a stressful spring semester, we are all in need of a break and these movies will lead you into the summer. 

1. The Bikeriders: This film is being released in theaters on June 21st and stars Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, and Tom Hardy. The movie is set in the 1960s and follows a motorcycle club in Chicago who face the threat of cultural change and a new way of life. 
2. Inside Out 2: This movie is being released on June 14th in theaters and is the second film in the Inside Out series. In the film, Riley is now a teenager with some added emotions. This movie stars Maya Hawke, Ayo Edebiri, Amy Poehler, Tony Hale, and many more! 
3. MaXXXine: This movie is being released on July 5th in theaters and stars Mia Goth. If you are into horror movies, this one is for you! This movie is the final movie in a trilogy with the first two movies being “X” and “Pearl.” This film follows Maxine as she is being stalked by a serial killer in 1980s Los Angeles.
4. Twisters: This film is being released on July 19th in theaters and stars Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, and Anthony Ramos. The movie follows Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser, as she is haunted by an experience with a tornado. If you are into action and thriller movies, this film may be for you! 
5. A Quiet Place: Day One : This film is being released on June 28th in theaters and is the third film in the Quiet Place series. Starring Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn, this film is set in New York City and continues with the post-apocalyptic theme as Sam is being hunted by an alien invasion in the bustling city.
