Police : 2 Suspects Arrested in Connection to Willow Grove Park Mall Shooting

In connection to the Willow Grove Park Mall shooting that occurred on Sunday, November 15, 2020, 2 teenagers from Philadelphia have been arrested and charged as adults. 18-year-old Heyzer Perez-Maldonado and 17-year-old Justin Burmudez will be charged as adults and will face a series of charges that include attempted murder.

Specifically, Heyzer Maldonado will be charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and carrying a firearm without a license. In addition both suspects will be held at Abington Police Department until the preliminary hearing.

Police report that both suspects shot the man after an argument  inside the mall that led to the shooting in the parking lot of the mall.

A full investigation is still pending as the man who was shot has been released from the hospital  and is recovering.
