Building connections as a college student can be hard. For many students across Abington’s diverse community, the challenges of navigating college social life, along with all its accompanying anxieties, may feel even more difficult under late-pandemic stresses. Starting in mid-February of the Spring 2022 semester, CAPS is offering Connection, College Life, and Late-Pandemic Strain, an 8-week interpersonal process group focusing on themes of connection and belongingness in student life during late-pandemic circumstances. . . . . Through collaborative group processes in a private space facilitated by CAPS licensed staff, group members will have opportunities to gain deeper understandings of self and the ways we relate to others, with special attention to late-pandemic stresses. Group membership is limited to a max of 10 students. Members will be expected to honor a commitment to consistent participation and to each other’s privacy. Group admission is pending a screening by CAPS licensed staff. To request a screening, please email jeffhofer@psu.edu.
