Shara McCallum is the author of numerous poems and essays and six books that have appeared throughout the US, Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, and Israel. She is the recipient of several prestigious fellowships and awards, including the Institute of Jamaica’s silver Musgrave Medal, which honors Jamaican individuals for demonstrated excellence in literature, arts, and science. Her most recent collection of poems, No Ruined Stone, has been called an “arresting, lyrical, wrestling with colonialism, racism, and the knotted legacy of slavery.”
