As Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “Instead of making history, we are made by history.” History from the past is a subject that humanity needs to learn and adapt from in order to develop an understanding of the world; of society, and how it came to be. Take Covid-19. For instance, in 10-20 years from now, Penn State Students will be reading about this pandemic in updated history textbooks that the future generation will be learning about. Every single day of someone’s life, they make history happen, whether it may be small or big. Either way, as time goes on, those moments become the past, making it history. But, how does an international or out-of-state student learn about the historic state that they attend college in?
