Sites at Penn State is powered by WordPress, an open-source web publishing platform supported by thousands of contributors around the world.

Serving the Penn State Community

The Mission

Our goal is to empower the many creative voices of Penn State. Sites at Penn State makes it simple to publish your information to the web. Anyone can build a site for portfolios, learning activities, blogging, clubs, units/departments, research groups, courses, and much more.

“…the place in which you document your research, write reflectively on your scholarship, and invite others to discover your work.”

— Christopher Long, (former) Associate Dean for Graduate and Undergraduate Education and Professor of Philosophy and Classics

Sites at Penn State is hosted by a third-party vendor, CampusPress (Edublogs). The service is managed and supported jointly by CampusPress and Penn State IT. This service was first launched as a teaching and learning resource by Teaching and Learning with Technology in 2012.
