My blogs this semester have all been very reflective as I look toward graduation. It seems fitting to reflect on the many incredible memories I have had with PLA, so here it is! Below are five of my favorite memories from PLA listed in no particular order. For those who experienced these with me, I hope you enjoy reliving the memory!

  1. My first PLA spring break trip to NYC! It was the first big trip since COVID and my class bonded so much! Melissa, Glorie, and Holly put so much effort into making it a great trip. I will always be thankful for it!
  2. Getting to know Ed and Helen Hintz! If you’re in PLA and haven’t met them yet, you have to get on that! Sign up for the dinners with the Hintzes because they are wonderful people. They care so much about us and genuinely want to learn about who we are. My tip: make sure to learn about them too because they’re very interesting. I especially enjoyed talking to Ed and Helen on the San Fransisco trip.
  3. San Fransisco! This was such a cool trip, and I made great memories there. I loved watching Six and eating the great food on the food tour! I had many opportunities to connect with the other classes on this trip, and I really enjoyed doing so.
  4. 2023 PLA Formal! I loved this opportunity to have a fun, relaxing even with all of the cohorts. It felt like a last hurrah for the class above me, and I was glad that we had the chance to spend time with them in a PLA setting before they graduated.
  5. NYC pt. 2! The senior cohort had the opportunity to go to NYC twice, and it was great! Glorie, Sam, and Lisa did a great job planning this fall trip, and it really felt like a full circle moment for me and the other seniors. Last time we were in NYC with PLA, we didn’t know anyone. The second time we went, many of us were close friends discussing our future plans.

I hope you enjoyed hearing about some of my favorite PLA memories. This blog goes hand-in-hand with my last blog which focused on gratitude. I am so thankful for PLA. The experiences, opportunities, and friendships that have come from this program are so important to me.
