Yesterday, my parents came to visit. My mom especially prioritized seeing because they rarely stayed for the past two years and I have been away from home for extended periods. When they arrived they provided me two weeks of my favorite African food. Not only do I get to save money, but I also get to eat Jollof, Plaintain, and Jerk Chicken for a while. Since my brother hasn’t visited Penn State yet, I gave him a little campus tour. Since he is interested in getting a Ph.D. in the sciences, I informed him about the Millennium Scholars Program and others that could help him. Toward the end, I could purchase extra clothes and other goodies that I could not get without a care, and then I waved them goodbye.
Before the visit, I struggled mentally lowkey, as I had a lot on my plate. But after the visit, I was removed to complete this degree!
