I know that it is basically a PLA tradition to write REPORTs, so now that I am concluding my second year in the program I wanted to finally make my contribution to the trend.
As many people know (and can relate to), we are in the final stretch of the semester. That means that my school work and internship work load have been incredibly busy, and sometimes it is hard to find that extra time to relax. With that being said, I am excited to use this REPORT as an opportunity to reflect on my life as of recently!
R(eading): Spanish novels and recipe books. Although the novels are for my Spanish literature class, they are actually very interesting reads, and I have learned a lot about the language and culture through them. It is always fun to notice your progress! I also have finally started to get the hang of cooking for myself recently, which has led me to read a lot of new recipes to find some healthy ones that I might enjoy and try something new.
E(ating): Potatoes! I have added a lot of potatoes and vegetables to my meals recently. This past week, I made a vegetable pasta salad for lunch which was fantastic. I also treat myself to a boba tea and Sower’s once a week. I’m almost a regular at Sower’s now, which could be a bit sad, but I love their food!
P(laying): Gypsy Kings – I recently rediscovered the band and love the nostalgia that their music brings me from my study abroad days in Spain last semester.
O(bsessing over): Summer!! Although I am still stressed and knee-deep in the internship application process, I am incredibly excited to go home and spend some time on the beach, with my family, see my high school friends, and make my Dunkin’ rounds. I am also excited to go to yoga classes with my mom, and embark on my Scotland adventure in May!
R(ecommending): New Girl. It is such a great “feel-good” show, and I am obsessed with it. So easy to watch, very relatable, and fun.
T(reating): Momotaro. Love their boba and desserts, so it’s always a nice occasional treat.
