Dear readers,
This post is coming in a little late as I was really busy this week with everything really. I have been focusing a lot on my tutoring with others and this has forced me to be spend more of my free time on doing work. The experience of working directly with others has been wonderful and I can not wait to continue doing this. I have also started my economic research and that has went well.
The point of this post is to talk about my one class Math 312. This class is one of my favorites this semester and it takes math and flips it over your head. It changes how to look at mathematics and opens the door for a deeper understanding of how the language of math functions. It requires some proofs, time to study and most of all a rerouting of the numerical system to create concepts of math into the system that we use today. I enjoy real analysis. The class is hard and intense but yet, I still want to do more. I want to learn about why math is math. About why things work and most of all why (1+1 = 2). If anyone wants a deeper understanding of how math work, or if you have a free space in your schedule, please consider this class.
Sincerely,
Max Rossman
PS, After writing this I forgot to mention that I need people who have upper level math knowledge and would be interest in a risk analysis game theory class next semester. If so, please send me an email, thanks.
Hello Max,
I will never understand I people would want to take more math but that’s just me. I was getting cooked in Math 230 and 250, so I couldn’t even imagine 312. But it seems that you are having a lot of fun!
Hi Max,
I know how hard it can be to keep track of work, especially when you have to worry about jobs and more of your free time has to become work time. Hopefully, it hasn’t been too stressful, and you can still find times to have fun and unwind. Math 312 sounds like an intense class, but it’s awesome that you get so much fulfillment and enjoyment out of this class. It sounds like you’ve gained an even more solid knowledge of math fundamentals by analyzing the why and exploring the root of the language of math. Great to hear about this class!
Hi Max,
I hope you’re doing alright managing your work load–I’m sure with a schedule focused on upper level math you must be pretty busy. I’m curious how in-depth and complex the 1+1=2 conversation can really be haha.
