Kenya

NOTICE! If you are reading this around the time of posting, you are most likely attempting to grapple with the onslaught that coronavirus has brought upon the world. You might be thinking to yourself, “why would I look into travel right now? That seems completely contradictory to every professional advice I have read! Shouldn’t we shelter in place?” I must address this now: DO NOT TRAVEL!! At least until the viral spread has substantially subsided. But that doesn’t mean you cannot go travel in the future!! For today’s deal, you must understand that the flight can be made for anytime between August 2020 and March 2021! This trip will be a post-pandemic one, which could be much needed. Right now, many flight routes are much cheaper than they would be on a normal day, even for routes that will occur much outside of the window of time that covid-19 will like take up.

Let’s look into today’s deal a little bit closer. You are able to get this deal on flights leaving almost any airport in the U.S., and you will be arriving at the lovely Nairobi airport (NBO). You must be booking your flight for sometime between August 2020 and March 2021, and make sure your airline is either Delta or United. These flights will cost you somewhere in the low $500s, compared to the regular $1200+ it would cost for a normal round trip flight otherwise. This is an amazing deal for sure!

This deal is courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights.

As is tradition with Cheap Flights and Cheap Sights, we will begin by looking at the climate of our destination. As you will see, Nairobi, Kenya is a warm climate year round, never dipping below 60 degrees and usually with a high in the high 70s to low 80s. You will need to make sure to bring summer clothes no matter what time you travel, and don’t worry about needing heavy clothing. Unless you are going in November or April, you need not worry much about rain. It would be good to at least bring some form of rain protection, but it will likely not be needed. Better safe than sorry!

In terms of where to stay, I always suggest AirBnb as the booking site for finding a nice, cheap stay. On AirBnb I found an entire cottage for rent located inside of a giraffe sanctuary! The cottage is a one bedroom one bathroom stay with a nice view of the sanctuary. One neat feature of this stay is that there is an outdoor wood fired tub included with your booking! Perfect for outdoor relaxation in the afternoon. This stay includes the whole cottage, wifi, free parking, and even included breakfast! What a nice touch!

Cottage inside Giraffe sanctuary

This stay is located south of central Nairobi, which means most of your activites will revolve around exploring the area around you! There are breathtaking hikes to rivers, through forests, and to the peak, and of course with all the animals around! The owner suggests you try to see how many species of bird you can spot – the record in one stroll is 60! Watch out for smaller animals such as dikdik and squirrel!

That’s all folks! Tune in next time for another cheap flight and cheap sight.

Tel Aviv

What if I told you that you could get a round trip flight to Tel Aviv for as low as $582 dollars? Welcome back to cheap flights and cheap sights everyone! Today we will be exploring what Tel Aviv has to offer, on a budget.

Travelling abroad is normally quite expensive for an average person living in the U.S. thanks to the insane prices airlines will give you for roundtrip flights. But, on random occasion, a specific destination will have crazy cheap flight tickets for reasons like underbooking and technical errors. I am here to highlight one such destination and how you can turn travelling from being a headache into a relaxing experience.

The flight that I am analyzing today leaves from either JFK, Miami, or Chicago and lands in Tel Aviv at TLV. You can book this roundtrip flight for $582 if you book within a few days from this posting. There is a limited time frame in which you can book, which means you are limited to traveling between August to December. Do not worry about coronavirus, as the outbreak *should* be mostly subsided by then. Usually these flights will cost $900+, so if you have been dreaming of traveling to Israel then keep reading on! (Deal courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights)

Note that the climate in Tel Aviv is actually quite similar to what you might be used to in the States. In the summers it doesn’t get too hot, and in the winter it doesn’t get too cold. Bring appropriate clothing for the season of course, but don’t feel the need to go crazy!

In terms of where to stay, I suggest looking at airbnb for bookings. They have lots of great places to stay at for extremely cheap prices, and with those listing you usually get a full house or apartment to yourself. Plus, they are in prime locations usually and give you more of a feel of what it is like to live there, which I think is an interesting experience you should get to have when you travel to a new location, especially a location like Israel. For an example, I found this beautiful apartment in an amazing location for just $47 per night!! You get the whole apartment, wifi, TV, AC, and more. There is a nice cafe right across the street and a 24hr market nearby! You will be located a few steps from the famous rothschild boulevard, and a walk from the city center.

Beautiful studio@rothschild blvd prime location

Beautiful studio@rothschild blvd prime locationBeautiful studio@rothschild blvd prime location

The apartment itself is quite small, but for the price and location I think it is worth it!!! Plus this stay has raving reviews and is very top rated on Airbnb.

For a good listing of things to do in Tel Aviv, I suggest checking out this link below. There are lots of things to choose from, like free landmarks to paid tours and cooking classes.

Carribbean

Let’s face it: if you are reading this around the time of posting, you are most likely attempting to grapple with the onslaught that coronavirus has brought upon the world. You might be thinking to yourself, “why would I look into travel right now? That seems completely contradictory to every professional advice I have read! Shouldn’t we shelter in place?” I must address this now: DO NOT TRAVEL*!! At least until the viral spread has substantially subsided. But that doesn’t mean you cannot go travel in the future!! For today’s deal, you must understand that the flight can be made for anytime between July and mid-November! This trip will be a post-pandemic one, which could be much needed. Right now, many flight routes are much cheaper than they would be on a normal day, even for routes that will occur much outside of the window of time that coronavirus will like take up.

With that being said, let’s get to the nitty gritty of our destination highlighted today. You are able to get this deal on flights leaving many airports in the U.S., and you can choose to arrive at one of these four airports: Aruba (AUA), Grand Cayman (GCM), Nassau (NAS), or Punta Cana (PUJ). You must be booking your flight for sometime between July and Mid-Novemver, and make sure your airline is either American, Delta, JetBlue, or United. These flights will cost you somewhere in the low $200s, compared to the regular $550+ it would cost for a normal trip otherwise. What a steal!

For this blog I will be focusing on the Grand Cayman Islands, but you can take my advice and apply it to one of the three other possible destinations for this deal. This deal is courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights.

As is tradition with Cheap Flights and Cheap Sights, we will begin by looking at the climate of our destination. As you will see, Grand Cayman is a warm climate year round, never dipping below 70 degrees and usually peaking in the mid-high 80s. For this reason, and I’m sure most you would already know, you should expect many beach days during your trip. This is the Caribbean after all!

Once you arrive, you will need to find a place to stay. I usually recommend an Airbnb, since they are usually cheaper than hotels and offer a competitive location and space compared to what you get with a hotel. An example of an Airbnb you can stay at is attached below. At this stay called “Cosy Central,” you will find a beautiful and clean apartment with modern amenities. This Airbnb is just minutes from the beach and is also centrally located, so you will never have to worry about being too far from anything. Wifi, air conditioning, and parking is included along with TV cable access for winding down after a long day sun bathing. The cost of renting this stay is just $69 per night!! This is a great price for the Caribbean, since most resorts and hotels will be at least double that per night.

Living room with double window, loveseat, chaise and sofa to relax. Several plush throws are provided for your comfort along with a 65" smart tv outfitted with amazon fire stick for your viewing pleasure.

Bedroom outfitted with Queen sized bed, 4 standard pillows (x2 soft and x2 firm), 2 king size pillows and tower fan along with limited closet (floor and hanging ) space and mirrored closet doors.

Refrigerator, electric kettle, microwave, convection oven, coffee maker, toaster oven and small grill at your disposal.

Cosy Central is minutes from Smith's Cove. This is one of our most popular snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing beaches in the Central George Town area.

Since you will be in the Caribbean, I suggest taking lots of time to become one with the ocean and explore snorkeling, diving, and of course all of the crystal clean beaches! Make sure to bring plenty of bathing suits and sunscreen. For eating, I have to recommend the closely located Paradise restaurant. Reviews say the food is great at a cheap price, and it is just minutes from Cosy Central.

That’s all folks! Tune in next time for another Cheap Flight to a Cheap Sight!

Oaxaca

Let’s face it: if you are reading this around the time of posting, you are most likely attempting to grapple with the onslaught that coronavirus has brought upon the world. You might be thinking to yourself, “why would I look into travel right now? That seems completely contradictory to every professional advice I have read! Shouldn’t we shelter in place?” I must address this now: DO NOT TRAVEL*!! At least until the viral spread has substantially subsided. But that doesn’t mean you cannot go travel in the future!! For today’s deal, you must understand that the flight can be made for anytime between July and November! This trip will be a post-pandemic one, which could be much needed.

Welcome back to Cheap Flights and Cheap Sights everyone! We will be analyzing a cheap flight to Oaxaca, Mexico today. Travelling abroad is normally quite expensive for an average person living in the U.S. thanks to the insane prices airlines will give you for roundtrip flights. This is even true for Oaxaca, which will normally run you $650+ roundtrip. But, on random occasion, a specific destination will have crazy cheap flight tickets for reasons like underbooking and technical errors. I will show you how you can fly there for just $250, and make the trip worthwhile and inexpensive.

You read that right: just $25o for a round trip flight here! This is true if you are flying out of Orlando, but other airports run up to $280 round trip. Make sure you look at American and Aeromexico flights only!

Once you arrive in Mexico, you will need to make sure you have the right clothes on! On top of this, you should always plan your activities around the climate. Luckily, you most likely won’t need to worry too much about rain, as it is not more rainy here than it is where you live. In addition, the high never reaches above 90F, and the lows are around the 50s, so you can expect a very unchanging climate in Oaxaca. Be sure to bring both warmish and coldish clothes, since it could be slightly cold or slightly hot on any particular day, and having the right outerwear will make it feel super comfortable. That is the biggest focus when you travel: be comfortable!

Next, let’s find a great cheap place to stay. I always look toward Airbnb, since their listings are usually cheaper than hotels/resorts and almost always include more space to live in than a hotel. In addition, with an Airbnb you get a more immersive experience than you would with a hotel.

Studio with Terrance

Studio with terrace in Downtown

Pictured above is a lovely little studio situated in downtown Oaxaca. The space includes a beautiful terrace, which is perfect for evening drinking or even some TikTok creation! This stay will run you about $41 per night, which is a steal in my opinion. You have access to a full kitchen, wifi, a queen bed and a beautiful bathroom. With its central location, you are close to just about everything there is to do in Oaxaca! Some of these activities include swimming in a thermal spring, visiting the beach, and spending time at the Oaxaca Mexico temple. All of these activites cost next to nothing, so be sure to include them in your itenerary!

Toronto

What if I told you that you could get a round trip flight to Toronto for as low as $162 dollars?? Welcome back to cheap flights and cheap sights everyone! Today we will be exploring what Toronto, Canada has to offer, on a budget.

The flight that I am analyzing today leaves from Laguardia (LGA) Airport and arrives in Toronto (YYZ). You can book this roundtrip flight for $162 if you book within a few days from this posting. There is a limited time frame in which you can book, which means you are limited to traveling between March-May or September-January. Usually these flights will cost $450+, so if you have been dreaming of traveling to Canada then keep reading on! (Deal courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights)

Note that the climate in Toronto is a bit colder than you might be used to in the States. Be sure to bring a coat and some boots if you are going in a colder season!

When you arrive in Toronto, you will need a place to stay. As always, I am here to find you a great Airbnb for you to book! Airbnb is much better than hotel stays, since you usually get a much more spacious living place for much less, along with a direct line to someone who lives in the area locally. This is great for if you have any questions about what to do and what to see.

I found this spacious ENTIRE condominium for just $75/per night! You get access to washer/dryer, a very nice bathroom, and modern aesthetics. From the page, “The condo is equipped with: wifi, 40” TV with cable and Netflix, washer/dryer, towels, linen, electric tea kettle, pots, cutlery – business or pleasure, you will absolutely love it and feel like home.” What a steal! Note that parking is not offered, however there is street parking close by. The location is also very good, right in downtown Toronto, close to Old Toronto. You will find that you are just a walk away from many city sights.

When venturing further around the city, be sure to check out https://www.ttc.ca/Routes/index.jsp beforehand. Toronto has very suitable transit options, on top of a robust uber/lyft userbase!

For some good eats, check out Assembly chef’s hall! This place has about 14 stations, all headed by a different chef, which each serve a unique style of dish. The interior is spacious and luxurious, and you will be able to find delicious food of all types here! Everything from Japanese cuisine to traditional Canadian dishes can be found. It is definitely a neat vibe, and while the prices might not be super cheap, nothing is outrageous and it is worth the cost.

That’s all folks! Tune in next time for another neat place at a great price!

From this title, I am sure many of you reading are quite confused. Where exactly is St. Thomas, and why am I talking about it? Well because I can get you a cheap trip there!! Welcome back to Cheap Flights and Cheap Sights!

Let’s start with the basics. St. Thomas is one of the U.S. Virgin Islands located in the Caribbean Sea. In fact, it is one of the largest of the islands there. When you are planning this trip, you should absolutely expect many beachy days, since the weather in St. Thomas is always warm and sunny. A chart of the climate is included below. Transportation on the island is very well established, with multiple ferrys and taxi systems in place. This will allow you to get around St. Thomas and explore the other islands with ease.

So about the flight… most flights to the virgin islands hit $550+ regularly. Good news! You can fly roundtrip out of many airports for under $300, and specifically if you can fly out of Miami you will only be paying $229 for the flight! The trip can be booked between the months of February to May and August to October. This means that even just a weekend trip would be affordable and feasible! Make sure you fly with Delta, American Airlines, or JetBlue. This way you will get the great limited-time pricing. This deal is courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights of course.

Once you arrive in STT airport, you are going to need a place to stay. AirBnb to the rescue! Here is a nice cozy villa available for rent. It is beautiful! Take a guess as to how much this would cost per night.

Private Room with Ensuite Bathroom. Features queen sized bed, ceiling fan, A/C, large windows that let in plenty sunlight.

Just $33 per night! That is an insanely good deal for this level of accommodation. And as far as I can tell, there are no drawbacks to staying here. For some great eats, head on down to The Twisted Cork Cafe! It is located centrally on the island and is one of the best restaurants you can eat at here. It has raving reviews and a great menu. Make sure you get a reservation, as The Twisted Cork Cafe is usually pretty busy.

To start, let’s look at that flight again. It departs from Atlanta, and yes, it really is just $128 roundtrip!! Your trip can be booked at this price between February-May and September-November. Note that you will be flying into San Juan (SJU) so plan accordingly! This deal is, of course, courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights.

Some recommendations on what to do once in Puerto Rico include visiting the bio luminescent bay in Vieques! This bay is just a ferry trip away, and is one of the coolest sights you can see in the territory. I mean just take a look!

Mosquito bay bioluminesces due to a special organism in the water. The Guinness world record book also named it the brightest in the world! Just make sure to go at night, and a full moon is the best time to see it. Check the tide times before you go too, since those will also affect how it looks.

London

When a roundtrip flight from NYC to London is just $317 (regularly $850+), why WOULDN’T you book a trip?? Welcome back to cheap flights and cheap sights everyone! Today we will be exploring what London has to offer, on a budget.

Travelling abroad is normally quite expensive for an average person living in the U.S. thanks to the insane prices airlines will throw at you for roundtrip flights. I am here to highlight one such destination and how you can turn travelling from being a headache into a relaxing experience.

I like to recommend staying in an Airbnb during your stay, since they are usually great quality, extremely affordable, and often give you more of the “local experience” of the area you travel to. Let’s take a look at this cozy home located in central london:

Living room and relax area. Tv, Netflix, WiFi, electric piano, dining table.

This stay includes a room with a double bed and a private bathroom, along with access to the kitchen. For just $45 A NIGHT!!! And, the owner of this place is quite nice and offers a 5 euro full English breakfast experience!! Definitely worth taking them up on that offer. Plus, if you are looking for a tour guide, the owners even offer 80 euro day tours of London Sunday to Wednesday. Make sure to ask them about this too!

This room is very close to Abbey Road and many other popular London tourist destinations. Most of these are free sights anyways and including them in your trip is up to your discretion, so I will not be going into details about that here. However, when in London you must always be aware of the climate! Included below is a chart of each month of the year. Notice that in the winter it can get a bit chilly, and the summer months aren’t too warm. London is known for its rain, so remember a rain jacket or umbrella!!

When you get hungry for a bite, check out The Railway Pub! It is just a walk away from the above mentioned Airbnb. The Railway serves traditional pub food, including fish and chips. They also have a brunch menu if you are looking for a nice brunch place! They also boast once hosting Jimi Hendrix and the Rolling Stones, which is such a neat piece of history. Prices are good and there is a good variety of food offered here.

That’s all folks! Until next time, happy travels!!

Dutch Caribbean

Let’s cut to the chase: there’s a $286 roundtrip flight to the Dutch Caribbean departing from Richmond. You in?

Travelling can be expensive for the average American, and much of that cost can be attributed to flights and accommodations. But what if you could still have an amazing trip without sacrificing much and save a pretty penny? If this sounds like a dream to you, then look no further!

This flight deal is courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights.

Your destination: ARUBA!!! Aruba is a beautiful Caribbean destination full of luscious beaches and tropical landscapes. There is minimal rainfall annually, and the climate is depicted below. Notice the winter months: there is almost no sense of seasons in Aruba. Which is why this deal could not have come at a better time!! This is the perfect getaway from the cold, dreary, snowy streets of Pennsylvania.

So you booked your flight from Richmond, now what? You need to find somewhere to stay! Luckily, the rise of the internet has brought with it crazy accessible and affordable alternative accommodations for travelers. I’m talking about Airbnb of course! After looking around for a bit, I found this lovely 2 bed 1 bath home for just $48 per night. It is located in the Aruban countryside, with plenty of goats, turtles, and cats around to keep you company. Wifi is included, and the location is just a few blocks away from public transit. Plus, you are very close to the coast, allowing for some much amazing exploring of the vast beaches Aruba has to offer. If this home is not your cup of tea, relax. Airbnb lists many, many other homes and apartments for rent at very cheap prices (Some as low as $35 a night!). Staying in a home/apartment is much better than staying in a hotel for a few reasons. You really get to feel the feel of the town when you stay in an Airbnb, and of course the prices are so much better than traditional accommodations.

When you get hungry, you will really want to check out Zeerovers. Zeerovers is a nice seafood restaurant within walking distance of the Airbnb I mentioned above. Plus, the food is inexpensive and well rated. Just take a look for yourself!

Users say that Zeerovers has an amazing homemade tartar sauce, and that you will want to ask for extra on the side. The lines can get long in the evenings, so make sure you head over for dinner before 7:00. Note that much of the dishes are fried, but the fish is fresh from the ocean and is quite tasty.

Hopefully this little guide helped you find somewhere to travel to! Stay tuned for more cheap flights and cheap sights!
