What if I told you that you could get a round trip flight to Puerto Rico for as low as $128 dollars?? Welcome back to cheap flights and cheap sights everyone! Today we will be exploring what Puerto Rico has to offer, on a budget.
Travelling abroad is normally quite expensive for an average person living in the U.S. thanks to the insane prices airlines will give you for roundtrip flights. But, on random occasion, a specific destination will have crazy cheap flight tickets for reasons like underbooking and technical errors. I am here to highlight one such destination and how you can turn travelling from being a headache into a relaxing experience.
To start, let’s look at that flight again. It departs from Atlanta, and yes, it really is just $128 roundtrip!! Your trip can be booked at this price between February-May and September-November. Note that you will be flying into San Juan (SJU) so plan accordingly! This deal is, of course, courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights.
Once in San Juan, you can definitely take off a layer or two! In the summer months it will get hot, and in the winter it will stay pretty warm. Make sure you bring an umbrella or a rain jacket, as you can expect rain for at least some duration of your trip!
Next, let’s get some accommodations. Get this: a one bed one bath studio close to everything you will want to do, with air conditioning and great parking, for just $45!! This is an insane price for somewhere to stay for a weekend trip. I highly recommend looking into staying here, since the hosts have good ratings and you can expect a lot out of this little apartment. It is in a beautiful spot, and is just a two minute walk from the beach. Everything is very clean and nice, and there is a good kitchen for making breakfast before you head out each day.

Some recommendations on what to do once in Puerto Rico include visiting the bio luminescent bay in Vieques! This bay is just a ferry trip away, and is one of the coolest sights you can see in the territory. I mean just take a look!
Mosquito bay bioluminesces due to a special organism in the water. The Guinness world record book also named it the brightest in the world! Just make sure to go at night, and a full moon is the best time to see it. Check the tide times before you go too, since those will also affect how it looks.
