Kenya

NOTICE! If you are reading this around the time of posting, you are most likely attempting to grapple with the onslaught that coronavirus has brought upon the world. You might be thinking to yourself, “why would I look into travel right now? That seems completely contradictory to every professional advice I have read! Shouldn’t we shelter in place?” I must address this now: DO NOT TRAVEL!! At least until the viral spread has substantially subsided. But that doesn’t mean you cannot go travel in the future!! For today’s deal, you must understand that the flight can be made for anytime between August 2020 and March 2021! This trip will be a post-pandemic one, which could be much needed. Right now, many flight routes are much cheaper than they would be on a normal day, even for routes that will occur much outside of the window of time that covid-19 will like take up.

Let’s look into today’s deal a little bit closer. You are able to get this deal on flights leaving almost any airport in the U.S., and you will be arriving at the lovely Nairobi airport (NBO). You must be booking your flight for sometime between August 2020 and March 2021, and make sure your airline is either Delta or United. These flights will cost you somewhere in the low $500s, compared to the regular $1200+ it would cost for a normal round trip flight otherwise. This is an amazing deal for sure!

As is tradition with Cheap Flights and Cheap Sights, we will begin by looking at the climate of our destination. As you will see, Nairobi, Kenya is a warm climate year round, never dipping below 60 degrees and usually with a high in the high 70s to low 80s. You will need to make sure to bring summer clothes no matter what time you travel, and don’t worry about needing heavy clothing. Unless you are going in November or April, you need not worry much about rain. It would be good to at least bring some form of rain protection, but it will likely not be needed. Better safe than sorry!

In terms of where to stay, I always suggest AirBnb as the booking site for finding a nice, cheap stay. On AirBnb I found an entire cottage for rent located inside of a giraffe sanctuary! The cottage is a one bedroom one bathroom stay with a nice view of the sanctuary. One neat feature of this stay is that there is an outdoor wood fired tub included with your booking! Perfect for outdoor relaxation in the afternoon. This stay includes the whole cottage, wifi, free parking, and even included breakfast! What a nice touch!

This stay is located south of central Nairobi, which means most of your activites will revolve around exploring the area around you! There are breathtaking hikes to rivers, through forests, and to the peak, and of course with all the animals around! The owner suggests you try to see how many species of bird you can spot – the record in one stroll is 60! Watch out for smaller animals such as dikdik and squirrel!

That’s all folks! Tune in next time for another cheap flight and cheap sight.

Tel Aviv

What if I told you that you could get a round trip flight to Tel Aviv for as low as $582 dollars? Welcome back to cheap flights and cheap sights everyone! Today we will be exploring what Tel Aviv has to offer, on a budget.

Travelling abroad is normally quite expensive for an average person living in the U.S. thanks to the insane prices airlines will give you for roundtrip flights. But, on random occasion, a specific destination will have crazy cheap flight tickets for reasons like underbooking and technical errors. I am here to highlight one such destination and how you can turn travelling from being a headache into a relaxing experience.

The flight that I am analyzing today leaves from either JFK, Miami, or Chicago and lands in Tel Aviv at TLV. You can book this roundtrip flight for $582 if you book within a few days from this posting. There is a limited time frame in which you can book, which means you are limited to traveling between August to December. Do not worry about coronavirus, as the outbreak *should* be mostly subsided by then. Usually these flights will cost $900+, so if you have been dreaming of traveling to Israel then keep reading on! (Deal courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights)

Note that the climate in Tel Aviv is actually quite similar to what you might be used to in the States. In the summers it doesn’t get too hot, and in the winter it doesn’t get too cold. Bring appropriate clothing for the season of course, but don’t feel the need to go crazy!

In terms of where to stay, I suggest looking at airbnb for bookings. They have lots of great places to stay at for extremely cheap prices, and with those listing you usually get a full house or apartment to yourself. Plus, they are in prime locations usually and give you more of a feel of what it is like to live there, which I think is an interesting experience you should get to have when you travel to a new location, especially a location like Israel. For an example, I found this beautiful apartment in an amazing location for just $47 per night!! You get the whole apartment, wifi, TV, AC, and more. There is a nice cafe right across the street and a 24hr market nearby! You will be located a few steps from the famous rothschild boulevard, and a walk from the city center.

The apartment itself is quite small, but for the price and location I think it is worth it!!! Plus this stay has raving reviews and is very top rated on Airbnb.

For a good listing of things to do in Tel Aviv, I suggest checking out this link below. There are lots of things to choose from, like free landmarks to paid tours and cooking classes.

Carribbean

Let’s face it: if you are reading this around the time of posting, you are most likely attempting to grapple with the onslaught that coronavirus has brought upon the world. You might be thinking to yourself, “why would I look into travel right now? That seems completely contradictory to every professional advice I have read! Shouldn’t we shelter in place?” I must address this now: DO NOT TRAVEL*!! At least until the viral spread has substantially subsided. But that doesn’t mean you cannot go travel in the future!! For today’s deal, you must understand that the flight can be made for anytime between July and mid-November! This trip will be a post-pandemic one, which could be much needed. Right now, many flight routes are much cheaper than they would be on a normal day, even for routes that will occur much outside of the window of time that coronavirus will like take up.

With that being said, let’s get to the nitty gritty of our destination highlighted today. You are able to get this deal on flights leaving many airports in the U.S., and you can choose to arrive at one of these four airports: Aruba (AUA), Grand Cayman (GCM), Nassau (NAS), or Punta Cana (PUJ). You must be booking your flight for sometime between July and Mid-Novemver, and make sure your airline is either American, Delta, JetBlue, or United. These flights will cost you somewhere in the low $200s, compared to the regular $550+ it would cost for a normal trip otherwise. What a steal!

For this blog I will be focusing on the Grand Cayman Islands, but you can take my advice and apply it to one of the three other possible destinations for this deal. This deal is courtesy of Scott’s Cheap Flights.

As is tradition with Cheap Flights and Cheap Sights, we will begin by looking at the climate of our destination. As you will see, Grand Cayman is a warm climate year round, never dipping below 70 degrees and usually peaking in the mid-high 80s. For this reason, and I’m sure most you would already know, you should expect many beach days during your trip. This is the Caribbean after all!

Once you arrive, you will need to find a place to stay. I usually recommend an Airbnb, since they are usually cheaper than hotels and offer a competitive location and space compared to what you get with a hotel. An example of an Airbnb you can stay at is attached below. At this stay called “Cosy Central,” you will find a beautiful and clean apartment with modern amenities. This Airbnb is just minutes from the beach and is also centrally located, so you will never have to worry about being too far from anything. Wifi, air conditioning, and parking is included along with TV cable access for winding down after a long day sun bathing. The cost of renting this stay is just $69 per night!! This is a great price for the Caribbean, since most resorts and hotels will be at least double that per night.

Living room with double window, loveseat, chaise and sofa to relax. Several plush throws are provided for your comfort along with a 65" smart tv outfitted with amazon fire stick for your viewing pleasure.

Bedroom outfitted with Queen sized bed, 4 standard pillows (x2 soft and x2 firm), 2 king size pillows and tower fan along with limited closet (floor and hanging ) space and mirrored closet doors.

Refrigerator, electric kettle, microwave, convection oven, coffee maker, toaster oven and small grill at your disposal.

Cosy Central is minutes from Smith's Cove. This is one of our most popular snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing beaches in the Central George Town area.

Since you will be in the Caribbean, I suggest taking lots of time to become one with the ocean and explore snorkeling, diving, and of course all of the crystal clean beaches! Make sure to bring plenty of bathing suits and sunscreen. For eating, I have to recommend the closely located Paradise restaurant. Reviews say the food is great at a cheap price, and it is just minutes from Cosy Central.
