This lesson will focus on professional development opportunities and resources available for enhancing your skills in a professional environment.

Learning Objectives

After going through Lesson 17, advising staff will be able to

  • recognize common professional resources and organizations;
  • identify professional development programs required by the University and by Outreach;
  • develop a professional development plan with your supervisor;
  • demonstrate your understanding of travel policies, procedures, and budget information;
  • complete the Reporting Child Abuse training; and
  • review the workshops and seminars offered through the Center for Workplace Learning and Performance.
