Review the table below for administrative meetings.
Meeting Types | Introduction | Time |
---|---|---|
AA&SDS All Staff Meetings | AA&SDS All Staff Meeting . These required meetings are important for disseminating information to the AA&SDS staff and for communicating new initiatives, committee and academic updates, and news to the advising staff in our unit. A rotating schedule provides each adviser with an opportunity to facilitate the meetings. An Agenda Template is available on Our.Outreach and the assigned adviser is responsible for collecting agenda items and creating the meeting agenda. | Two Wednesdays per month from 2:00–4:00 p.m. |
Expanded Meetings | Expanded , Academic Advising and Student Disability Services Meeting. These required team meetings incorporate business literacy presentations into the meetings by partner unit representatives or our Academic Advising and Student Disability Service team. Once the Expanded Team representatives provide updates and information, the representatives are free to leave and the meeting continues with the A2A staff. | Quarterly on Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. in place of the AA&SDS meeting |
Coffee Chats | Coffee Chats are like town hall meetings but on a much smaller scale. They are often conducted by Craig Weidemann, Vice President for Outreach and Vice Provost for Online Education. The programs are designed to keep staff informed about current news and initiatives in both Outreach and Online Education as a whole, and offer the opportunity for staff to ask questions or voice concerns or ideas about Outreach and the larger Penn State community in a small and informal atmosphere. | TBD |
Business Literacy | Business Literacy Meetings are designed to keep staff apprised of the current business environment of higher education and how trends, concerns, and information relate to Outreach, Penn State University and the field of higher Education as a whole. The goal of these meetings is to clarify for staff our own initiatives and changes in Outreach and how those business-related changes and initiatives relate to the broader concerns and changes taking place in Higher Education. | TBD |
