You were introduced to the Student Transfer Credit Specialists (also referred to as the Credit Specialists or STCSs) earlier in this training program. As a refresher, they spend most of their time evaluating transfer courses and preparing academic requirements reports for the advisers to send to students. Each team has a designated STCS who specializes in the team’s degree programs.

First-Year Students (Students with no transfer credits):
  1. The team’s transfer credit specialist(s) will notify the adviser once the report is prepared.
  2. STCS will not have any communication with these students.
Transfer/ Re-enroll/ Re-instate/ Change of Major/ Change of Campus:

This process is under review, and this section will be updated by summer 2017.

The STCS’s have additional responsibilities and work on important projects, including:

  • Degree Audit Exceptions
  • New Accepted Student List
  • Math Assessment Access
  • Adding students to rosters

The STCS are the experts on all rules or changes that pertain to your team’s degree reports and liaisons between advising and your designated college. They are an important resource for all of your transfer credits and degree audit questions.
