Laughter, cheering, and passion around the table, filling the room and zoom, was the good energy shared among the more than 40 people participating in the 9th annual Art+Feminism Wikistorming event on March 24, 2023 coordinated by Karen Keifer-Boyd, Professor of Art Education and Women’s, Gender, & Sexuality Studies at Penn State. Thanks to the Art+Feminism Organization for their funding for refreshments and lunch, and to Pin-Hsuan Tseng and Ye Sul Park for coordinating, shopping, and laying out a wonderful spread of food, and to presenters Karen Keifer-Boyd Pin-Hsuan Tseng, Brandi Lewis, Keisha Oliver, Eunkyung Hwang, Eunjin Kim, Burçak Gezeroglu, Ann Holt and team, and more than 40 participants, our collective action surpassed prior years in wikistorming. In one day, 15 Wikipedia editors, most for their first-time editing Wikipedia, created 3 new articles (e.g., ArtsAction Group), edited 15 articles, and added 3.57K words to Wikipedia about women in games, MicroRevolt, Claudia Bernardi, Crutches and Spice, LGBTI, Crip Couture, among other collective feminist art actions.
