It is more important than ever to find ways to engage students online.
I have taught an online course for some time in the pre-pandemic era, and have been working on increasing the engagement opportunities for those students.
Students who take my long-standing online course, however, have been doing so mostly because they want to or at least because it makes the rest of their schedule easier.
Now we are heading into a Fall 2020 semester in which many students will be taking online courses that they did plan or want to take.
My goal in these examples is to show how I am working toward more engagement for online students.
