Michael Hile is the Director of the Odor Assessment Laboratory in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Penn State University. His research focuses on odors and gas emissions from manure storage, processing, and handling in the agricultural industry as well as bio-solids from wastewater treatment plants.  Dr. Hile has evaluated the efficacy of manure additives and technological solutions to reducing odors for animal manures and bio-solids.  Field and laboratory experience enables Dr. Hile to be a key member of projects that involve evaluating and assessing odors and gas emissions.
