For centuries, Ireland has been highly connected to agriculture. From the Irish Potato Famine to “The Celtic Tiger”, Ireland’s history, economy, and global prestige have hinged on its agricultural imports, exports, discoveries, highs, and lows. However, that very agriculture has been affected and influenced by Ireland’s long and complicated political affairs, most notably that of its colonization by England and subsequent freedom from British occupation in 1922.
This blog is dedicated to the history of Irish and British relations and how those relations have affected Irish agriculture, as well as how Irish agriculture will evolve in the future.
