Ryan Tuckman and Sahil Kuwadia, Penn State Undergraduate students, presented how they use neural networks in their research. They highlighted the potential of AI and ML in studies of nuclear physics.
We also presented the basics of PyTorch and a tutorial on PyTorch usage. The tutorial was on a Google Colab notebook with neural nets that are constructed and trained to reproduce fundamental distributions that describe the proton’s structure.
