For my recreation photo, I decided to recreate one of the most iconic scenes in Home Alone 2 which is Kevin eating his ice cream in his hotel room. This was always one of my favorite Christmas movies and this scene always made me laugh because he’s ordering all this ice cream with his dad’s credit card, staying in the nicest hotel in New York City. No one really questions it either until later on in the movie. I tried my best to recreate this scene by putting on pants, wearing a sweater, and even my sandals like Kevin. I also bought Berkey Creamery ice cream and scooped out of it like Kevin in the original scene. I also turned on my lamp next to my bed to resemble the lamp in the original scene and put my fake plant beside it to resemble the plants on display in the original. I also leaned back onto two pillows like Kevin does, and took the picture on top of the covers because Kevin is on top of them as well. I shut my blind and turned off the light in my room to try to adjust the lighting to be darker. I don’t think I did the scene justice, but I tried my best to recreate one of my favorite movie scenes.
