The Tragedy in France

The attack in Nice, Paris was a shock to everyone. The government was on high alert that an attack was going to take place in one of the major cities, but was not sure which one to expect. There are a lot of critics about the city’s security. Allegedly, only 60 officers were on duty during the attack, and there was 30,000 people at the event. Due to a lack of security, it made it easy for the terrorist to comprise the event. Right before he drove through the crowd, police vans that were protecting the event also left do to the fact that the parade was over. The attack was easy on his part, with minimal security, he drove in and killed 87 people.

If you go to Google News and type in Nice, France, the main articles that come up are articles about Americans’ reactions. Why is our media so focused on what we think, and not what the civilians of France think? This is a typical move our media does. It focuses on all the wrong things. What about the victims? What about their families? Personally I don’t care how the people of Tennessee feel about the attack. The media needs to focus on what’s important, not what’s closest to home.

America’s media needs to take their attention to what’s important. If i were to read the articles that are on Google News, should I assume that Nice, France is doing fine, and that Americans are the ones hurting? NO. France just faced its third major terrorist attack in eight months, and what are media is focused on is Americans feelings. What the media should be focused on is ISIS. They need to persuade its readers into understanding how the rest of the world is being affected by them and other terrorist groups. The media should not only have the goal, but the duty to educate the Americans about the problems around the world and to let them know that their are seven other billion people out there, it’s not just all about them.

Rhetoric Analysis

The intro will start with talking about the comparison between the common place and the thesis.

Since the Chinese Communist Party emerged in 1949, there has been a constant struggle between the government and the citizens. Neither of the two parties seem to agree on what is right for the nation as a whole so in result, for the past sixty years, the Chinese Communist Party has been persuading and manipulating the minds of the chinese civilians by telling them that communism is good for everyone. Kang Sheng, Mao’s secret police chief, one said to convince the people about the glory of communism, “communism is paradise,” (Short 484). This then became the slogan for the communist party. This slogan was used all the way through the Great Leap, which was considered one of China’s biggest failures in history. Over 45 million people starved to death due to crop failure and the lack of farmers. Though this struggle, the world still did not perceive China in a negative way. Most of the world was oblivious to what was happening. The communist party

The loss of power the Chinese Communist Party faces in recent years has led them to start an anti-corruption campaign. The party started the campaign in fear of the citizens revolting under the new leader Xi JinPing. He wanted to grasp the power of the party and show all of the citizens of China that the communistic government allows the country to expand and prevail. The Party’s main intention for starting this campaign was not for the good of the people, but for the good of the party.

This part will tie the points together.
