We Are… Done

It is crazy how fast things can change in 2 weeks. I am not even going to talk about the Illinois game. That might be the single most embarrassing loss in Penn State history.

Not only was that bad, but the future’s not looking good. James Franklin seems to already have his mind set on the California weather over at USC. His most recent press conference was embarrassing, referring to this upcoming game being against Illonois multiple times, then referring to a big game at “The Big House” this upcoming weekend. Which is Michigan’s Stadium

This is not the mindset you want your head coach having going into Columbus, against a top 5 team. Ohio State is favored to win by over 19 points, but I had to put money on it, I would say it doesn’t stay within 35.

I usually like to focus on the positives, but at the moment there are simply no positives. You could say we should be looking forward to having a top 5 recruiting class for next season, but with Franklin as the most favored coach to go to LSU and USC it is seeming like this will be less and less of a reality.

At the moment we have the #1 Quarterback and #1 Running back coming in, however if Franklin leaves you can almost guarantee they will be gone. What is even worse is the #1 qb, whose name is Drew Aller is from a small town in Ohio. So not only will he most likely leave, he will most likely go to Ohio State.

The only real positive is we have a chance to beat OSU and get a top 5 win. With Coach Franklin seemingly already gone, Sean Cliford still injured, and our performance last week though, it would be an absolute miracle of a win. The same was said in 2016 though, so you truly never know.

1-0
