Who we are:
Adult Learners @ Penn State (ALPS) is an officially recognized student organization that supports and enhances the educational and developmental experiences of the adult learner.
Adult learners are:
- 24 years of age or older, or
- a veteran of the armed services, or
- an active-duty service member, or
- returning to school after four or more years, or
- assuming multiple adult roles such as parent, spouse/partner or employee while seeking their undergraduate degree.
Our student organization provides a sense of identity and belonging, and serves as a gathering place for adult learners to network at University Park. We areā¦ part of the Penn State Community.

The Adult Learner Programs & Services office is another helpful resource during your educational journey. The Director serves as our group advisor and mentor.
