The Adult Learners @ Penn State is an officially recognized group at Penn State that supports and enhances the educational and developmental experiences of the adult learner.
Adult learners are 24 years of age or over or a veteran of the armed services, or an active-duty servicemember or returning to school after four or more years of employment and assumes multiple adult roles such as parent, spouse/partner or employee while seeking their undergraduate degree.
Our student organization provides a sense of identity, belonging and serves as a gathering place for adult learners to network at University Park. We are… part of the Penn State Community.
The Adult Learners @ Penn State…
- Encourage returning adults to become an effective integral part of the Penn State community.
- Provide a welcoming environment for older, non-traditional students with various educational aspirations and to ensure that our collective voices are heard as adult students.
- Participate, collaborate and host a variety of social events that are family friendly.
- Serve as an educational resource for the non-traditional student who may need assistance in navigating academia.
