About the Program
Penn State Altoona Child Development Center provides high quality childcare in an educational setting for the children of Penn State Altoona faculty, staff, students, and the surrounding community. Located on campus in the Cypress building, the beautiful environment gives children ages 3-6 a safe place to play and learn. The Center uses the Montessori curriculum and is a satellite of the well-respected Penn-Mont Academy, which has been part of the Blair County community for over fifty years.
Penn State Altoona Child Development Center is accredited by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child, the American Montessori Society, and Middle State Association of Colleges and Schools and is licensed by the Pennsylvania Departments of Education and Welfare. Teachers are Pennsylvania State certified and Montessori credentialed.
The Center is fortunate to have the beautiful campus of Penn State Altoona for the children to enjoy during walks on campus. The children also participate in special activities designed by various departments of the college.

Having your child on campus in a safe, nurturing, educational setting is an opportunity that the Penn State Altoona administration has worked very hard to make possible for their faculty, staff, students, and the local community. If you have a preschool child, now is the time to take advantage of this opportunity.
Partial Scholarships are available through Penn Mont Academy and Penn State Altoona.
