Penn State Altoona Motorsports Club

By Staff Writer Rivka Wolin

The Motorsports Club is an organization that under takes BAJA SAE,  an intercollegiate design competition. It consists of regional competitions that simulate real-world engineering design. Students are asked to build an off-road vehicle that will survive rough terrain and occasionally water. In addition to the racing events, competitions also include Shark Tank-esque sales presentations and proof of design presentations. Students of all majors are welcomed, and in many cases needed.
