Description
Manufacturing/Production Engineers will design and sustain production processes in a high
volume low mix manufacturing operation. They are responsible for designing production jigs,
fixtures and equipment; also recommending solutions to production problems related to
materials, processes and tooling. Primary work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m., however, after hours work may be required.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Design jigs, fixtures and equipment using 3D software
· Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods utilizing fundamental principles of 5S, LEAN
and Six Sigma
· Prepare operation/instruction manuals for new or existing processes and equipment
· Make recommendations for repair or replacement of equipment, hardware and tooling
· Assist during installation process of new jigs/fixtures/equipment; conduct operational training
with teammates
· Reviewing production equipment, hardware and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs
or replacement
· Understanding the influence of safety factors and applying them to designs
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
Working knowledge of oxyfuel and plasma cutting, welding, machining and industrial
painting required
Experience in an automated manufacturing environment preferred
Must have strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Experience with 2D and 3D design software
Degree in engineering or equivalent discipline required
Must have a positive, solution-oriented attitude!

Work Environment: This role functions in a professional office and a manufacturing plant
environment. While performing the duties of this position, the Manufacturing Engineer will be
exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and industrial
noise. The Manufacturing Engineer will be occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme
conditions in the plant.
