Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Rail EIT, we will count on you to:

  • Support Rail Project Managers and Engineers to develop track and civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Conducts analyses to develop railroad design options or recommendations and assists in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications.
  • Performs routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.  Projects have clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work independently on small tasks and assist more senior engineers on larger tasks.
  • May give direction to clerical and technical personnel.
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

MS Office Applications experience is required.

Position requires occasional travel for field work and surveying.

*Preference given to local candidates

Preferred Qualification:

Hands on experience with Microstation and GeoPak-route design preferred.

EIT or ability to attain within 6 months.

Job Responsibilities:

In this key role, the Technical Sale & Service Representative will be responsible for sales & servicing the technical needs of our customers. Key performance areas include, but are not limited to:

Procurement of sales orders and inquiries for the entire range of products. Develop new business and maintain customer base for all products through active selling campaign. New product demonstrations. Field troubleshooting and problem solving. Maintain direct contact with welding supervisors and maintenance of way departments. Field training of customers. Plan and accomplish basic Thermit welding services as required. Hands on assistance in welding. Field visits and site audit reports.

Job Requirements:

There are a few positions and locations available. Jobs will be based in the Chicago, IL area, Bakersfield CA area, United States, and a position in the Toronto, Ontario, Canada area. Extensive travel required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including highly developed interpersonal skills. Must be a self-motivated likable hands on person. Experience with railroad industry, Aluminothermic welding, hydraulic equipment is a plus. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required Must be detail oriented and organized. Excellent time management skills, well organized and determined yet humble personality with can do attitude. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
