For my unit 2 project, I want to focus on how the media and crime over time. One of the topics within crime that I am most passionate about is gun violence in the United States, and my project will most likely focus on shootings and journalism.

As far as sources go, I plan on using a few different passages from the book “#Crime: Social Media, Crime, and the Criminal Legal System” using LionSearch. I also plan on diving into a book titled “Mass shootings: media, myths, and realities”, as well as “News Framing of School SHootings: journalism, and American Social Problems” and “Mass shootings and the media: why all events are not created equal” which can all be found on LionSearch.
