RCL II: Ideas for Spring 2022

Passion Blog

  1. I am keeping these relatively uniform. In terms of my passion blog, I am pretty set on keeping the same topic (being from California).
  2. However, another idea I have about reading. I am an avid reader, and it has always been a passion of mine.

My Civic issue blog:

  1. I’ve always found the justice system and it’s prejuidices very facistnating. I think that there are a lot of issues within our system, and diving into this could be interesting. Specfically, the racial disparity within our system.
  2. Alternatively, I think reviewing the fiscal aspect of the system is also fascinating. I’m leaning more towards looking at race, but I’m open to other ideas!

This I Believe:

  1. Everyone deserves to feel safe regardless of external factors
  2. Politics should not trump human rights/ability to survive.

  1. Hello! For the passion blog, I love the book one. However, the California blog seems interesting. I’ve never been there so I’m very interested in what its like out there. I believe the justice system is a compelling topic especially in light of recent events in our politics. For this is I believe, I like the first one. Feeling safe regardless of external factors has great potential to be relevant and uplifting to everyone.

  2. I love your Passion blog about being from California! I almost did mine on being from Georgia last year and I read a few of yours last year and really liked them! For your Civic issues blog I really like the idea about the justice system and the issues within. I’m hoping to double major in criminology so this topic is something that really interests me. For your This I Believe Podcast, I really like both of your topics and think they are both very important topics.
