This world is obsessed with making women feel bad about their bodies, Camila Cabello was seen running with her shirt tucked in because of the heat but to the rest of the world, it looked like she was trying to show some skin. camila said, “I was just running in the park minding my own business trying to be fit, trying to keep it healthy. And I am wearing a top that shows my belly,” but that didn’t matter to the paparazzi all that mattered was that she was seen exposing herself trying to make her feel bad for just having a body and feeling confident enough to show it off. When this came out she showed no remorse for loving her body because if you apologize then you are giving into society’s expectations which is worse than showing off your body. “And I was like, ‘Damn.’ But then I reminded myself being at war with your body is so last season.” is what she said in response to her photo getting out, she wants to be an influence to girls so they can learn at an early age to love every part of yourself. I feel like as a kid there really wasn’t much body positivity so now that I’m older I struggle so much to feel comfortable in my own skin but if as a society we can come together and stop sexualizing everything that women do then this world would be so much better. As she says”young girls growing up in an airbrushed world” it’s really true, every famous person edits their photos so much that when you see them in real life they look like completely different people and we need that to stop, we need to change that or we will never get far as a society. being a woman is so damn hard there is not one day that I feel either completely safe or that I’m not being judged or I’m not acting like how a woman should, well I’m so over that and I think her message to the world needs to be heard because if we keep ignoring it girls are gonna keep struggling to love themselves and know its ok to be a woman.
