Diversity photoshoot: The arboretum

The definition of diversity is the state of being diverse; variety, diversity makes up our whole world. I wanted to show just a small piece of what diversity can look like by showing the plants and nature in the arboretum, these four pictures are some of my favorites. A little disclaimer I am not really a photographer so I tried my best with lighting and angles.

This photo was from the Penn state arboretum,  I wanted to base my assignment on the diversity in nature and plants found in the arboretum. When looking through all of my photos I really loved all the colors and textures and all the different flowers.

When you go to the arboretum there is a gorgeous fish pond with many floating plants and flowers but in this photo, I wanted to show all of the different types of lily pads and greenery, all of these different plants make us their own little ecosystem. there is so much diversity in the pond I had taken photos of but this was my favorite.

This photo is of many succulents that are in one pot and I think that these are just so pretty and I love succulents so I knew I had to take a photo of these, they all live their lives mixed and diverse with one another and it’s beautiful.

This last photo I really liked after going through all of my photos, the various heights and colors and plants made this picture feel so pretty to me. When I took this photo I was laying on the ground and knew this would be so pretty all of the flowers and grasses made it turn out so well.
