Integrative Structural Biology of Biomolecular Complexes

Protein dynamics is central to biological function. Our group’s research interests are in probing protein dynamics in cell signalling with a focus on allostery, conformational dynamics of viral capsids, transmembrane receptor signalling and targeted drug discovery.

Protein dynamics is probed by multiple biophysical tools including amide hydrogen/deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS) and ion mobility mass spectrometry (IM-MS). Our goal is to integrate protein dynamics with structural tools for describing biological function.

Our Research Focus

Our research focuses on probing protein dynamics to map biomolecular interactions and allostery in cell signaling pathways and RNA viruses
