Nantucket, Massachusetts
Nantucket will forever be one of my favorite places in the world. I am lucky to have been able to visit many, many times. Most of my family lives in Massachusetts. My parents grew up around Cape Cod and some of my family still lives in Cape Cod so I have been there a lot growing up.Nantucket is a very small, isolated island off the coast of Cape Cod. To get to Nantucket, most people take the ferry which takes about two to three hours (depending on if you take the fast or slow ferry).
The town in Nantucket is gorgeous with bustling, cobblestone streets. The town feels very relaxed and cheerful. There are many clothing shops along the main street and a very special toy shop that my family and friends always visited growing up.
Nantucket is also perfect for day trips. If you are looking for a beach to visit when visiting Nantucket, check out Children’s Beach. Children’s Beach is not very large but it is very family friendly and fun to be at. There is a playground right next to the beach and there is always an ice cream truck at the park. However, watch out, there are always kids catching the biggest crabs I have ever seen at this beach. It is somewhat horrifying but very impressive what the kids catch off the pier.
