At the 2019 International Conference on Communication in Healthcare, Kasey Foley presented on how providers discuss the value of antibiotics relative to non-antibiotic treatments in the course of medical visits for upper respiratory infections where antibiotics are not prescribed.

At the 2019 International Conference on Communication in Healthcare, Kasey Foley presented on the role of patient efforts to influence primary care provider’s treatment decisions during upper respiratory infection visits, specifically examining the frequency that patients engage in communication behaviors to influence treatment decisions and whether patient efforts to obtain antibiotics are associated with visit outcomes relevant to antibiotic stewardship.
