Welcome to the Penn State’s Applied Demography Program. We are excited to become pioneers in the online teaching of Applied Demography with the new Certificate in Applied Demography, and the Masters Program. Our Masters in Applied Demography is unique in the field, and will provide the opportunity of becoming an Applied Demographers to individuals from any place of the world.
We will admit students on a rolling admissions structure, meaning you can be admitted in either Fall, Spring or Summer term. (Next start date officially is Summer 2020, deadline April 1, 2020)
Our program is committed to excellence in teaching and a hands on approach to learning and applying the techniques that you will need as an Applied Demographer.
We will offer two online programs of study:
- Graduate Certificate in Applied Demography
- Masters of Professional Studies (M.P.S.) in Applied Demography

Thanks to a contribution by Dr. Gordon De Jong and the College of the Liberal Arts, we will be waiving the application fee for the first applicants for the Summer 2020 or Fall 2020 admission cycle.
