Overview

The current configuration of the 408 MHz Yagi antenna consists of the first iteration first stage amplifier (with a jury-rigged band pass filter in it), connected to another band pass filter, an attenuator, and finally a spectrum analyzer. The motor control system involves the final motor control board connected to a makeshift hand-held control consisting of four tactile buttons with a protective logic circuit on a breadboard. The motors are powered by a current limited variable power supply, and the first stage amplifier is powered by a similar power supply. While the setup is not particularly advanced, we were able to demonstrate that the system works.

We are picking up a signal from the antenna, presumably either Cassiopia A or Sagitarius A.

The feed with the antenna disconnected from the amplifier. We can clearly see the hump from the band-pass filter and the noise level from the amplifiers.
