BEING FIT WHILE QUARANTINED

Hi guys! I hope you all are still managing this quarantine and making the most out of it. Since we’re locked inside of our houses all day, some may think it is almost impossible to stay in shape and get your workouts in. I’m here to tell you it’s actually really easy! In this week’s blog post, I’m going to go into detail on some of the things I’ve been doing to stay active and healthy! Let’s get into it!

 

1. Go for walks to get your steps in!!

One of my favorite things to do during this quarantine is go for walks. I honestly find it to be a really great way to get my steps in and pass time. I love bringing my dogs with and they really enjoy it as well (at least I think lol). So, if you’re ever really bored or just want to get some free air, go take a walk around your neighborhood. Along with taking walks, I also love going for hikes. I live in the woods so I find it pretty convenient to just go on the trails with my sister and get my steps in that way. If you have access to the woods or a mountain I would definitely recommend going for both to switch up the scenery! A good goal is to get to 10,000 steps a day!

2. Yoga!!

I find another easy way to stay healthy is doing yoga. I personally do yoga three times a week in the morning and I feel so great after! Yoga helps me start my day off right and I notice that I am pretty motivated after doing it. Statistics show that yoga not only helps you stay physically fit, but also helps you mentally as well.  Yoga helps with muscle strength, flexibility, anxiety, and much more. Another fun fact about yoga is that it increases blood flow and increases your heart rate. Yoga is super great to try over quarantine because you really don’t need any equipment and you can literally do it anywhere!

3. Alexis Ren!!

Okay, this last tip may be a little basic. I’m sorry in advance. During quarantine I have been paying specific attention to my abs and have been doing a lot of ab workouts. I have always followed Alexis Ren on Youtube and all the other social media platforms and I have always found her exercise videos so fun and bearable.   2. Hey Ariana! This was another great blog post! Lately, going on walks with my dogs seems like the only way to get out of my house for a while. My dogs love to go on walks so when I get the chance we usually go on some pretty long ones.

  3. Hey Ariana! I definitely agree that getting your body moving during quarantine is really important. I felt like I had such a good routine at PSU, I was going to the gym everyday so I was really sad to go from 100 to 0. I have been taking lots of walks as well, I also have been doing my fair share of youtube workouts. Hope you are doing well!
