Milk’s New Jelly Tint

Milk Makeup released a new cooling water jelly tint in 4 different shades of reds and pinks. The jelly tint was released via social media on Saturday, January, 27th and it has since gained 398 comments in that short time.

Most brands stick to social media when it comes to product releases now. They will share pictures and videos to various outlets like TikTok, Instagram, X, and more. Not only do the brands post about the new product, but they will send influencers PR to review on their platforms. I found out about this new Milk product from my favorite TikTok influencers, specifically @bonitravo. If I worked for Milk on their public relations team I would tell them to continue to send PR out because they earn so much exposure from that. I would also tell them to keep posting on their socials. Finally, creating cool products like jelly tints that are aesthetically pleasing and change the way we view makeup is inspiring and revolutionary and something they should keep up.

Pamela Anderson launches Sonsie Skin

Pamela Anderson launched a new skincare company with her friend Marie von Behrens-Felipe in the summer of 2023. The skincare company has three products on the market: a moisture mask, a super serum, and a lip balm.
Launching a skincare company was a genius public relations move on Anderson’s part. It all started back in September of 2023 when Anderson went makeup-free during Paris Fashion Week, many media outlets picked up this news and ran with it. Anderson decided to go makeup-free during Paris Fashion Week due to the death of her dear friend and makeup artist Alexis Vogel. Anderson stated “She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup,” (BuisnessInsider).  Anderson’s decision to go makeup-free showed a lot about her character and her loyalty to her friends. Not only was this a story about friendship but also a story about women’s empowerment and that you do not need makeup to be considered beautiful.
Anderson going makeup-free was a huge story and lots of people thought positively of her for doing so. Therefore, when she launched a skincare company that valued clean ingredients and natural beauty people loved it. The no makeup and clean skincare line added to Anderson’s brand and people view her as almost an activist for woman empowerment and that no woman needs makeup to be beautiful. The post by People Magazine was very positive and other outlets also covered this story in a positive light which is great earned PR for Pamela and her company. If I were on Pamela’s PR team I would tell her to continue to post on her social media to promote the company as well as partner up with other celebrities to spread awareness on her movement and brand.

Alex Cooper’s Unwell Network

Alex Cooper debuted her Unwell Network on August 7th, 2023 via Instagram and Tik Tok. Alex Cooper invited Alix Earle and Madeline Argy to the Network to create their own podcasts, Alix Earle with Hot Mess and Madeline Argy with Pretty Lonesome.
Alex Cooper plays a huge role in the podcasting world with Call Her Daddy, which is her very own podcast that has over 85 thousand followers. She announced her network on her Instagram and TikTok and had Alix Earle and Madeleine Argy also post about the new network. Cooper, Earle, and Argy have tons of followers on social media all of them having over 1 million each on just TikTok alone. Cooper made a very smart business decision when she decided to bring Earle and Argy into her network. At the time of the launch, Earle and Argy were both upcoming TikTok stars who caught the internet by storm. Therefore, if you had never heard of  Alex Cooper or Call Her Daddy you were sure to hear about the network from either Earle or Argy. Along with the three girls’ posting, media outlets like People were also picking up on news of the Unwell network. In specific the People article linked, expresses excitement over the new network which is great earned PR for Unwell.
Overall, I think Alex Cooper did an incredible job building up PR for her new network, and including two upcoming stars was a great way to get people invested in the network. I predict that this is only the beginning of the Unwell Network and as it grows in popularity more influencers and celebrities will be invited to have their very own podcast with the network. As for the PR team, I would tell them to continue to push out the network through social media posts and find ways in which the girls can appear on other forms of media, like TV appearances, interviews, and collaborating with other networks to promote each other’s brands.
