Students Together for Astronomy Research (STAR) is a new program that provides research opportunities for undergraduate astronomy students at Penn State. STAR was inspired by the successful UROC program, designed and run by members of the Penn State Department of Geography.
Undergraduate students enrolled in STAR will work on research projects under the guidance and mentorship of Penn State Astronomy & Astrophysics graduate students, post docs, or faculty members. In doing so, they will earn course credits while developing their research capabilities and expanding their astronomy knowledge. We are now accepting project submissions for the Fall 2024 semester!
