Online & Worldwide meeting:

  • Live lessons & Q&A sessions via Zoom in principle (but possibly some pre-recorded lectures in case of an emergency).
  • Lecture recordings will be provided at the end of each day’s curriculum.
  • Computational lab tutorials to complement each lesson and work at your own pace, and
  • Opportunities to ask further questions to faculty, TAs and other students via Slack before/after each lesson.

Logistics

Live instruction will be confined to occur between 10am EDT and 4pm EDT. Each day’s lessons will be accompanied by lab tutorials (e.g., Jupyter or Google Colab notebooks). Students are strongly encouraged to work through them either in the afternoon/evening following the lesson or during the morning before the next day’s live lessons begins. Students can ask questions about lessons and/or lab tutorials via Slack. Students are encouraged to engage with faculty, TAs and other students via Slack as they work on the lab tutorials.

Worldwide Participation

We anticipate students will be spread across many timezones. Live lessons will be recorded and made available to registered participants for at least 60 days.

The times below are based on Eastern Daylight saving Time (EDT = UTC-04:00).
Specific times and topics subject to change.
Check back closer to the summer school for final times and curriculum.
