| Alexey Zhdanov is a Professor of Finance at Penn State University, Smeal College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Rochester. He previously held faculty positions at the Swiss Finance Institute, University of Lausanne, and George Mason University.
His industry experience includes a research and portfolio management role at PanAgora Asset Management in Boston (a top-ranked quantitative investment management firm), a Senior Economist position at Cornerstone Research in New York (an economic consulting company), and a couple of years in commercial banking at a large international bank in Russia. His research has been published in top academic finance journals including the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and Management Science. |
